Cobb Police have two suspects in custody, and they were arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Marietta. On Thursday September 12 the Taco Bell at 2169 Roswell Road was robbed. The information on the arrest came from a press release from the police force.

A police sergeant stated in the release that Jalen M. Smith and Terry Lee Magby III were taken into custody. They are currently being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. Both suspects are adult males.

They are both 20 years old and are both from Marietta. When the robbery took place, two men who were wearing masks entered the Taco Bell. They were armed with a handgun and demanded some money from the employees, according to the press release issued by the police sergeant.

The suspects received an undisclosed amount of money. Both men then left the area. They then got into a four-door Acura Vigor. The motor vehicle was red, according to a witness. While they sped off in the car, it seems that a witness was able to take a look at it.

They looked at the license plate number and took it down. The witness in question, who appears to be anonymous, then reported the license plate to the responding officers. As a result, the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team of the Cobb County Police Department located the vehicle.

The vehicle was near the registered owner's residence. This presumably led to the arrest of the two men. When police teams are able to track down the vehicle used in a crime, it is generally simple for them to go and then subsequently find the individuals who initially committed the crime as a result. That helps to hasten the rate of these investigations.

Of course, quicker investigations mean that there is more of a chance for error. As a result, attorneys are often called in to sort things out. They defend those charged to ensure that they get a fair deal.
