Cobb Police are calling on the public to help them identify the suspect in a recent bank robbery that occurred at approximately 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 3rd. The suspect is an African-American man who entered a Chase bank and brandished a weapon while demanding money from a teller,  according to an article in the Marietta Daily Journal.

The man is 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing a mask that covered much of his face, according to witnesses and security camera footage. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a car that was allegedly stolen on April 30.

This is the second bank robbery in recent days. On Thursday, May 1, a gunman entered a SunTrust Bank and left with an undisclosed amount of cash from a teller. He is described as an African-American man who is over 6 feet tall. The car he used to flee is unknown. He is still at-large.

While the public's assistance may be valuable in apprehending theses suspects, the description of them is so general that false accusations are highly probable. Anyone who is questioned by police or who believes that they may be under investigation for these crimes is encouraged to contact a highly-experienced Marietta criminal defense attorney. In their haste to assist the police, the public may jump to conclusions and put the rights of the accused in jeopardy.
